Obituary

Angelo A. Paoletta of Andover, died an Saturday, June 14, 2008. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts, on May 27, 1926, the son of the late Giuseppe and Carmella (Anzalone) Paoletta.
Angelo was the former owner of Diane’s Doughnut Shop in Somerville, a member of the Elks Lodge in Somerville and later in Lexington. He served in the US Navy during WWII.
He will be sorely missed by his wife Lillian L. (Maikisch) Paoletta of Andover, four children; Joseph Paoletta and his wife Irene of Danville, New Hampshire, Nancy Demastus and her husband Butch of Barbeton, Ohio, Ralph Paoletta and his wife Joanne of Plaistow, New Hampshire and Diane Kolden and her husband Troy of Hudson, New Hampshire, seven grandchildren; Anthony Poaletta, Cindy Mann, Debbie Collins, Nicholas Paoletta, Thomas Paoletta, Cory Kolden and Austin Kolden, nine great-grandchildren, one brother; Rocco Paoletta of Medford and several nieces and nephews.
Angelo was also the grandfather of the late Jason Paoletta and brother of the late Esther Jutrice, Domenic Paoletta and Ralph Paoletta.
His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, June 17, 2008, in St. Augustine Church, 43 Essex Street, Andover, at 10 AM. Many relatives and friends respectfully attended. Calling hours were Monday, June 16, 2008, in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home 390 North Main Street, Andover, from 4 to 8 PM. Burial was in Puritan Lawn Cemetery in Peabody. Donations in Angelo’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Massachusetts Chapter, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
