Margaret A. “Peg” (Mullen) Hansen, 62, of Norton died on Thursday June 12, 2008 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence as the result of an accident. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald W. Hansen who passed away on July 28, 1998.
Born in Boston, MA on December 13, 1945 she was a loving daughter of the late James and Margaret (Dillon) Mullen.
She grew up in South Boston and was educated in South Boston and Dorchester schools. Along with working Peg took great pride in caring for her family and enjoyed being with people.
Peg had made her home in Norton for over 30 years and was a member of the Red Hat Society.
She is survived by her devoted children Donald W. Hansen and his wife Claudia, Kathleen M. Madden and her husband Richard of Plainville and Pamela A. Gookin and her husband Christopher of Norton. She was the sister of James Mullen of Hawaii, Robert Mullen of Boston,Bernard Mullen of Boston, Catherine Taglieri of Halifax, Maryann Hunt of Sharon, Patricia Belliveau of Taunton, Michael Ryan of Vermont, Julie Ryan of Maine and the late John Mullen, also survived by 8 cherished grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Tuesday June 17th at 9:00 A.M. from the Norton Memorial Funeral Home 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church 133 South Worcester St. Norton. Burial will follow in the Timothy Plain Cemetery, Norton.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday June 16th from 5-8 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home.
