Worcester - David J. Giera, 44, of Worcester died Saturday Dec. 22 in New England Medical Center, Boston.
He leaves his wife Miriam A. (Ward) Giera of Worcester; a son Aaron David Giera of Worcester; a step-daughter Colleen Ward of Worcester; one brother Michael Giera of Chicopee, MA; two sisters Margaret Giera of Chicopee, MA and Dorothy Vella of PA and two nephews. Mr. Giera was born in Springfield son of Henry and Nellie (Makarowska) Giera.
Mr. Giera worked was a self-employed finish carpenter and a contractor for the past 20 years. He also worked for various contractor's in the area.
He was a member of the Northboro Church of Christ.
The funeral will be held on Saturday Dec. 29 at 11:30 in Nortboro Church of Christ Church 456 West Main St. Northboro. Burial will be at a later date. A calling hour will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 AM in Northboro Church of Christ on Saturday Dec. 29. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Aaron David Giera Trust Fund c/o Sovereign Bank 1125 Pleasant St. Worcester, MA 01602.
