Whitman-Robert W. Brown 67, died Friday June 13th after a period of failing health. He was the former husband of Rachael (Chamberlain) Bosten of Falmouth.
Born in Stoughton he was the son of the late John J. and Roseanna (Vezina) Brown. He was raised in Abington and was a graduate of Abington High School.
For the past forty years he has been a resident of Whitman and worked as a security guard for Lite Control of Hanson.
He loved all aspects of archeology and was a collector. His collections included stamps, coins, bottles, antiques and war memorabilia.
In addition to his former wife he is survived by his daughters Colleen Bellows and Eileen Brown both of NH and Kathleen Burke of Marion, his brothers Peter Brown of Plymouth and Alfred Brown of Hanson, his sister Kathleen Bomar of West Dennis, his grandchildren Corey and Jacob Butler, Jeremy Burke and Timothy Tibbotts as well as many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late John Brown and Rita Murray.
His services will be held Wednesday June 18th at 11 AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery Rockland. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday June 17th from 4-8 PM.
