12, 2008. She was born in Lawrence, the daughter of Anthony and Mary Lorenzo. She was a lifelong resident of Lawrence and was retired from the Stride Rite Corporation.
Mrs. DeFrancesco was a parishioner of Corpus Christi/ Holy Rosary Parish in Lawrence. She loved spending time with her family, especially celebrating birthdays. She enjoyed going to bingo, Foxwoods Casino and playing cards with her many relatives and friends.
Lena was the widow of Theodore DeFrancesco with whom she shared more then 51 years of marriage. She is survived by her daughters Mary R. DeFrancesco of Lawrence and Jean A. Haley and her husband, Stephen of Methuen; her grandchildren Kathleen Gosselin and her husband, Ian of Methuen, Herbert Stacy and his wife, Kathleen of Methuen and Christine Chase and her husband, Glen of Pelham, NH; her great grandchildren Jacob, Ted, Joseph, Jillian, Jordan and Caden; her sisters Rita Lees and her husband, Robert of Methuen and Catherine Gray and her husband, Henry of Salem, NH; her sister-in-law Virginia Lorenzo of Methuen. She was predeceased by her sisters Angelina Falcon and Mary Girard and her brothers Angelo and James Lorenzo. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Lena will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Monday, June 16, 2008 at Corpus Christi Parish in Lawrence with entombment to follow at St. Mary-Immaculate Conception Mausoleum in Lawrence in Lawrence. Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, June 15, 2008 from 4 to 7PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc., 233 Lawrence St. in Methuen.
