OXFORD - Jean F. “Jeannie” (LaBelle) Langlois, 50, of Oxford, died June 10, 2008, in Rose Monahan Hospice Home surrounded by her family and friends after a short and courageous battle with cancer.
She leaves her husband of 30 years, Eugene P. “Sam” Langlois; a daughter, Shana L. Langlois and her boyfriend Shaun A. Corbin, both of Oxford; a son, Chance R. LaBelle and his fiancée Stefanie Carr, both of Dudley; 4 brothers, Norman LaBelle and his wife Charlotte of Manchaug, Robert LaBelle of Dover Fox Croft, Maine, Roger LaBelle of Worcester, and Joseph LaBelle and his close friend Joannie Beauvais of Florida; an aunt, nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Raymond, Ernest and Roland LaBelle.
She was born and raised in Worcester, the youngest child of Norman O. and Florence M. (LaPlante) LaBelle. She lived in Manchaug for over 25 years before moving to Oxford in 1998. She attended Sutton High School.
Mrs. Langlois was a machine operator at Polyfoam in Northbridge for 10 years, retiring 5 months ago due to illness. She loved her New England Patriots and enjoyed her visits to Foxwoods.
The funeral will be held Friday, June 13, from Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main St., Webster, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Louis Church, 14 Lake St. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, June 12, in the funeral home. Instead of flowers, the family prefers donations in her name be made to the American Cancer Society, Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
