Obituary

WORCESTER-Edgar L. Lambert, 77, of Worcester, died in his home, under the care of his family on Wednesday, June 11th due to pancreatic cancer. He leaves his wife of 51 years, Eleanor F. (Mikolajczyk) Lambert; his daughter, Denise M., wife of John Y. Nelson of Worcester; a granddaughter, Heather J. Nelson; a grandson, Jared J. Nelson; two sisters, Bernadette G. Magerowski and Julienne H. Mulcahy, both of Worcester; and many nephews, nieces and cousins. His son, Paul E. Lambert died in 2003. Two sisters, Cecile M. Kasabula and Fernande G. Pultorak and a brother, Bertrand S. Lambert predeceased him.

Edgar was born and raised in Worcester, the son of Albini D. and Leona C. (Beaudoin) Lambert. He was a graduate of Worcester Boy’s Trade High School. Following his service with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, Edgar was employed by Shebro Construction for many years as a home builder before beginning his 30 year career as a carpenter with the Worcester Public Schools. He was a member of St. Stephen’s Parish. Edgar took great pleasure in spending time with his family, woodworking and gardening.

The funeral is Friday, June 13th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Stephen’s Church, 357 Grafton Street. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday, June 12th from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
