Obituary

Theodore B. Robinson, a 65-year resident of Winchester, passed away on June 10th. Born in Bremerton, WA, he was the son of the late Elmer B. and Eve May (Estey) Robinson. A U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII, Mr. Robinson attended Cal Tech and was a 1943 graduate of Northeastern University. He was employed as an electrical engineer at ITECH and most recently at Honeywell, where he participated in the development of the optics for the Hubble Space Telescope. In Winchester, Theodore was a member of the Winchester Boat Club where he headed the banshee and turnabout fleets. He was also a long-time Town Meeting member and served on the Finance Committee in Winchester. He was a Past President of the Winchester Seniors Association, where he kept the computers running and taught computer classes. Mr. Robinson also enjoyed playing chess at the Jenks Senior Center, and loved automobiles, boats and science. He was the beloved husband of Rebecca “Becky” (Moore) Robinson, and the loving father of Nancy R. Russell and her husband Jeffrey of Little River, SC, Carolyn R. Colgate and her husband Craig of Eden, UT, and David L. Robinson of Salt Lake City, UT. He was the dear brother of Joan Cole of Hollis, NH and the late Sylvia Gustin. Mr. Robinson is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 5 great-granchildren. A Graveside Service will be held at Brewster Cemetery, Lower Rd., Brewster, MA on Wed., July 9th at 11AM.
