GLOUCESTER: Jean R. (Victorine) Brown, 73, died Tuesday, June 10, 2008 in the Addison Gilbert Hospital following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Forbes A. Brown who died in January of 2004
Born in Gloucester on July 19, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Ruth (Lettmann) Victorine.
Jean worked at the former Gloucester Drive-In Theater for seventeen years. She had also worked for the elderly for two years and in private homes before her retirement.
She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Marilyn and Robert Rowe of Seattle, WA, Sheila Brown of Lee’s Summit, MO and Kellie and Brian Saltonstall of Gloucester, two sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Lisa (Aptt) Brown of Gloucester and Michael and Sandy (Delp) Brown of Peabody, eight grandchildren, Kurt Keating of Seattle, WA, Kevin and Eric Brown and Kayla and Alicia Saltonstall all of Gloucester, Isaac and Amanda Pickard both of Lee’s Summit, MO and Jason Brown of Peabody, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Louise and Edward Conley of Tewksbury and Sharon and Frank Zumpfe of Rochester, NH, nine nieces and nephews, Sandy Berube, Cathy Devlin, Linda Sullivan, Kristin Zumpfe, Sharilyn Mott, Michelle Blum, Edward Conley, David Conley and Derek Zumpfe and several cousins.
Funeral services will be privately held at the convenience of the family. There are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the VNACare Hospice, 8 Angle St., Gloucester, MA 01930.
