Manchester– Margery (Clarkson) MacKinnon, 62, died June 9, 2008 at her home following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Austin TX., on October 24, 1945 the daughter of Herbert and Natalee (Ligon) Clarkson.
Margie attended the University of Texas where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta. She was a devout Christian, great cook and enjoyed entertaining family and friends. She also enjoyed genealogy with strong Texas roots, and was a descendant of the founding 300 families in Texas.
Prior to her illness she was a civil draftsman for several companies in Houston TX. She remarried and moved to NH in 1986, continuing to raise her family in the Manchester area.
She was predeceased by her son James Miller III in 2003.
Family members include one daughter Christy Jones of Houston TX., 4 sons Travis Oak, of Enfield, Michael Oak, of Houston TX, David Oak, of Meredith, Erin MacKinnon, of Manchester, 5 grandchildren, one brother Slayden Clarkson, of Houston TX, one sister Lynn Jamison, of Houston, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
There are no calling hours.
The family would like to thank Meals On Wheels for providing a daily meal to Margie during her illness.
