LOWELL—Charlotte J. (Lis) Bonczar, 85 years old, died early Thursday morning, March 6th, at the Palm Manor Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Walter J. Bonczar.
She was born in Lowell, on May 11, 1917, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Josephine (Laba) Lis, and was a graduate of St. Stanislaus Grammar School and Lowell High School.
Mrs. Bonczar was employed as a Medical Stenographer by the Tewksbury Hospital for ten years. She was a communicant of the Holy Trinity Polish Church and was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Sodality.
Surviving her are her children and their spouses: Dr. Lawrence Bonczar and his wife Dr. Elizabeth Bonczar, of Clarks Green, PA; Thomas and Judith Bonczar, of Lowell; Edward Bonczar, of Lowell; and Mary and James Russell, of Glendale, RI; eleven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Walter J. Bonczar.
Friends may call on Sunday, March 9th, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street. (Rte. 38). Her Funeral Mass to be offered Monday, March 10th, at 10 AM at the HOLY TRINITY POLISH CHURCH. Springtime burial in the Holy Trinity Cemetery.
