DUDLEY/SALEM, NH – Florence P. (Mercier) Dupre, 93, formerly of Village St., died Tuesday, June 3, in Salem, NH, after an illness. Her husband, Vincent A. Dupre, died in 1984.
She leaves a son, Retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel Robert E. Dupre of Salem, NH; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter Janis A. Lock of Salem NH in 1989 and by her very close friend Bradford J. Kemp of Webster in 2004.
She was born in Webster, the daughter of Anthony T. and Minnie L. (Parker) Mercier. She graduated from Saint Louis High School in 1932. She lived in Dudley for most of her life before moving to Salem.
Mrs. Dupre was the librarian at the Pearle L. Crawford Memorial Library for 26 years before retiring in 1978. She was a member of Saint Anthony of Padua Church.
A memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 17, in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 24 Dudley Hill Road. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
