Antonia (Hangiotis) Gonidelis, 80 of Walpole died June 8 in her home. She was the wife of the late Charles Gonidelis.
Born in Newark, New Jersey, November 7, 1927, the daughter of the late Louis and Bessie (Gardelis) Hangiotis, Mrs. Gonidelis was raised in Cambridge and had lived in Walpole since 2000.
Mrs. Gonidelis had been a supervisor at the American Cellophane Company in Jamaica Plain for many years.
Mrs. Gonidelis was a talented singer. She was a graduate of the New England Conservatory of Music.
She was loved to sing opera especially.
She sang at weddings, church and many other occasions in the greater Boston area.
She also loved to cook and to be with people.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane E. Concilio and her fiancé, Paul Glavin of Walpole.
She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandhchildren.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 11 from the Ginley Funeral Home 892 Main St. in Walpole at 8:15 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in Blessed Sacrament Church at 9:00 a.m.
Burial will be private.
Visiting hours will be on Tuesday from 6-9 p.m.
