Obituary

Stephany Marie (Nickolas) Summers, of Worcester, 59, passed away on June 5, 2008, after a valiant four year battle against cancer, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Daughter of the late Paul and Georgiana (Lolo) Nickolas, she is survived by Frank, her husband of 30 years, two daughters, Alexandra Nicole Blankenship and her husband Matt, Wilton, NY, and Sarah Elizabeth Connolly and her husband Greg, Malta, NY, her sister Gloria Stockwell and her husband Roy, Worcester, MA, nephews Steven Stockwell and his wife Sue, Charlie Stockwell and his wife Sandy, all of Leicester, MA, grandnephews and grandniece Jason, David, Cesar and Katelynn.
She was a graduate of Burncoat Sr. High School and received her BA in Accounting from Suffolk University in Boston. She worked as an Accountant for Mass Electric, United Fruit Company, Itek Corp., Davis Design, and was a Sr. Accountant at Worcester Housing Authority at the time of her death.
Stephany was a devoted, caring, and loving daughter, wife, mother, sister and friend who always had a positive and upbeat approach to life, always thinking of others first, never complaining, and always willing to help in anyway she could. She was practical and down-to-earth, but at the same time spontaneous and fun-loving, always ready for the next adventure. There was no one more dedicated to the happiness of her family and friends, more honest in her feelings and opinions, nor more clear-headed and forgiving in times of adversity than Stephany. Anyone who ever knew her will miss her terribly.
Calling Hours will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St., Worcester, MA, 5 to 8 pm, Monday, June 9, 2008, with prayers by Father Dennis Nagi at 6 pm, with a Funeral Mass on Tuesday, June 10, 2008, at 10 am in St. Mary’s Albanian Orthodox Church, 535 Salisbury St., Worcester, MA, followed by interment at Hope Cemetery.
