Vernon L. Latsha, 73 of Derry, NH died Friday June 6, 2008 at his home. Mr. Latsha was born in Herndon, PA on December 28, 1934, the son of the late Donald and Olive (Grimm) Latsha. He had been a resident of Derry for more than 35 years, formerly living in Medford, MA. Following his education, Mr. Latsha served with the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was employed as a truck driver for many years and was a member of the Teamsters for 36 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Theresa “Terry” (DeNapoli) Latsha of Derry, two daughters, Lynda Matthews of Londonderry, Laura Hardwick and her husband Brian of Dunbarton, NH, three sons, Donald Latsha of Derry, John Latsha and his wife Judy of Litchfield, NH, and David Latsha and his wife Cynthia of Litchfield, 11 grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours were Sunday June 8th from 1 – 4pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Funeral services were held on Monday at 10:00am in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry.
