Harold Strassel, of Plymouth, passed away on June 5th at the age of 84 at Jordan Hospital. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy (Peterson), he is survived by his loving daughter Christine Tissot and her husband Ed of Plymouth, 2 grandchildren Sarah Bilodeau and her husband Jon and Nathan Tissot and his wife Jennifer. He also leaves 5 great grandchildren: Adam and Andrew Bilodeau, Jacquelyn Tissot and Gavin and Ethan Brown. A 3 sport athlete at Plymouth High School, he graduated in 1941. He was a member of the Lions and the Woodchucks and has coached little league and had been a youth football referee. Harold enjoyed sciences and woodworking and had been a town meeting representative and on the finance committee. Mr. Strassel had once worked as a machinist at the Cordage company and then was a supervisor at the sewer plant for the Town of Plymouth. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday June 10th at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 373 Court St (Rt. 3A), N. Plymouth at 10 AM followed by burial at Vine Hills Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday June 9th from 4 to 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Jordan Hospital, Cardiac Critical Care Unit, 275 Sandwich St, Plymouth, MA 02360.
