John Motta Sr., age 73, of Fall River all his life. Passed away June 4, 2008. Beloved husband of Blanche “Lil” (Paul) Motta for 52 years. Son of the late Joseph Motta Sr. and Cecelia (Alves) Motta. Before retiring, he was a Laborer at Globe Mfg., previously he worked at Plymouth Rubber Co. in Canton. He enjoyed fishing, throwing horseshoes, playing cards, and socializing with his family & friends.
Besides his wife, he is survived by 4 children: Janine Alexander, John Motta Jr., Michael, and David Motta all of Fall River. l brother: Joseph Motta Jr. of FL; 2 sisters Cecelia Walmsley of Swansea and Rosalyn Medeiros of Westport. 11 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren, & many nieces and nephews. He was also brother of the late Henry and Thomas Motta, and Lorraine Davis.
His funeral service will take place in the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1521 N. Main St. Saturday at 10:00 A.M. VISITATION: Saturday morning 8:30 -10:00 A.M. Interment in Oak Grove Cemetery.
