Obituary

Charles Wilton Wyatt, 86, Clarksville, died Monday, June 2, 2008, at his residence. The funeral will be held at 11 am Thursday at Neal-Tarpley Funeral Chapel with Rev. Paul Tramel officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens with military honors. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm Wednesday at the funeral home . A Masonic service will follow.. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Wyatt was born November 3, 1921 in Stewart County son of Gus Wyatt and Ruth Adkins Wyatt. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Efree Wyatt, Thomas Wyatt,and Oneal Wyatt; and one sister, Lucille Smith. He was a member of Forest Street United Methodist Church and a member of the Masonic Lodge in Indian Mound, TN. He had worked at Providence Cabinet Shop and served in the US Army during WWII. Survivors include his wife, Bertha Elliott Wyatt; a son Phillip Wyatt (Regina); two daughters, Jane Knickerbocker, and Sue Crain (Roger) all of Clarksville; a brother, Dean Wyatt, Dover, TN; three sisters, Eva Crain, Dover, TN; Shelia Waldrop, Pembroke, KY; and Judy Duryea, Washington State; five grandchildren, Charles Knickerbocker, Dale Crain, Todd Wyatt, Matthew Wyatt, and Amy Sousoulas; seven great-grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Charles Knickerbocker, Dale Crain, Todd Wyatt, Matthew Wyatt, Tommy Wyatt, Scott Wyatt, Darrell Crain, and Johnny Waldrop. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Forest Street United Methodist Church, 416 Church Street, Clarksville, TN 37040.
