Nancy C. (Trent) Hecht, of Brockton, passed away unexpectedly Monday, June 2, 2008, at Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center. She was the wife of Barry A. Hecht. Born and raised in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Christina T. (Clark) Trent. Nancy attended Brockton schools and continued her education in nursing receiving her Masters Degree from the University of Massachusetts, Boston. She had been employed as an Emergency Room Nurse at Goddard Memorial Hospital in Stoughton for over 20 years and most recently was employed at Tobey Hospital in Wareham and Milford Medical Center. She was a member of Sigma Theta Tau, Emergency Nurses Association and Massachusetts Organization of Nurse Executives. She enjoyed her dogs Ollie and Lilly, time spent with her family and traveling.
Nancy is also survived by four children, Steven Hecht and his wife Michelle of Lakeville, Michelle DeBest and her husband David of Lakeville, Eileen Homer and her husband Michael of Brockton and Eric Hecht and his wife Deirdre; seven grandchildren; one brother Ted Trent of Brockton, three sisters Ann Buckley of New Mexico, Susan Meister of Taunton, Laurie Trent-Robinson of Brockton and many beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday at 8am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting Hours Wednesday 4-8pm.
