Ricky Reece, 44, of Lenox died Saturday, May 31, 2008, in Alapaha. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 4, 2008, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Charles Nichols will officiate with burial to follow in Lawrence Cemetery. Leon Turner, Timmy Hamilton, James Gessford IV, James Gessford V, Josh Sumner and T. J. Stephenson will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Dennis Moore, Johnny Watson and John Watson. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 3, 2008, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Reece was born on August 24, 1964 in Jonesboro, Arkansas and was the son of Jessie James Reece, deceased, and Frances Lucille Maton Reece of Lenox. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Maxine Hiers and Diane Watson. He was a plumber.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Reece is survived by four sisters, Ruth Gessford of Sparks, Sheila Reece of Lenox, Edardine Reece of Lenox and Betty Reece of Tifton.
