Weierstall, Emily (nee Haughey) on May 31, 2008 succumbed to several recent ailments at age 92. Survived by her beloved husband of 69 years, William, three children: Fred, Richard, Lois and three grandchildren Eric, Kurt and Karen. She was predeceased by her parents William and Helen Haughey, siblings Loretta Henderson, Frances O’Brien, Alice and William Haughey. Born in Jersey City she graduated from Dickinson HS and raised her family in Union City. She moved to River Edge 38 years ago, was a parishioner of St. Peter’s RC Church and was active in various civic organizations such as SCORE, River Edge Annual Blood Drive and the American Legion Post 226. Funeral Thursday 8:30 AM from the Volk Leber Funeral Home, 268 Kinderkamack Rd., Oradell then to St. Peter the Apostle RC Church, River Edge for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow at the George Washington Memorial Park Cemetery Paramus, NJ. Visiting Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
