Graveside Memorial Services for Dannie Walker, age 80, of Sycamore will he held Monday June 2, 2008 at 2:00 P. M. at the Hickory Springs Cemetery in Tift County, Georgia. Mrs. Walker died Thursday at Tift Regional Medical Center after an extended illness.
Mrs. Walker was a native of Tift County, Georgia the daughter of the late Murphy Allen and Lois Sutton Nelson. She was a retired Dietitian with Turner County School System. After leaving as manager of Turner County High School lunch room “Miss Dannie” assisted her husband at Walker’s Bar-B-Que. She was a member of the Sycamore Baptist Church and the widow of the late Jack W. Walker.
She is survived by daughters Cheryl Houck, Middleburg, Fl. and Jackie Sue Grantham, Sycamore, Ga. and her Grandchildren Bill Hill, Perry, Ga. and John Hill of McDonough, Ga. and her Great-Grandchildren Chandler, Colby, & Chloe Hill, Perry, Ga. and Jake Walker Hill, McDonough, Ga. and her sister Frances Dorminy, Chula, Ga.
