Obituary

Quentin M. Maver of Plymouth passed away on May 27th at the Jordan Hospital at the age of 89. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years Eleanor “Ellie” (Bramhall) of Plymouth, his son Quentin M. Maver of Harrisburg, NC; his daughters Marcia M. Kelliher and her husband Walt of Waxhaw, NC; Linda M. Goodnow and her husband Chuck of Hampton, NH and Betsy M. Maloney of Concord, MA. He also leaves 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Mr. Maver was born in Roxbury, MA and has lived in Plymouth for the past 36 years coming from Greenfield, MA. He graduated from Belmont High School, attended Hebron Academy and Bowdoin College. He served in the U.S Marine Corp from 1941 until 1946 when he was honorably discharged at the rank of Major. Mr.Maver was a purchasing agent for the following companies; Harvard College, Cambridge, MA, Kendall Co. in Charlotte, NC, New Haven Board and Carton in New Haven, CT. The Book Press in Brattleboro, VT. He then returned to Kendall Co. in Walpole, MA, serving as Director of Purchasing prior to his retirement. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 30th at the Chiltonville Congregational Church in Plymouth at 11 AM, Rev. Dr. William Fillebrown officiating, followed by committal service at the Chilltonville Cemetery. There are no visiting hours, however, the family will be greeting friends in the fellowship hall of the church following the committal service.
