Clare Everill "Toby" Wilson III, age 63, passed away on Tuesday May 27, 2008 at Hospital of St. Raphael, New Haven after a brief illness.
Toby was born November 20, 1944 to Clare and Kathleen Wilson in Grand Rapids, MI.
He received a Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan in 1967 and an M.B.A. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. After graduating from the University of Michigan, Toby moved to Mystic and was employed at General Dynamics Electric Boat until he retired in 2000.
Toby was active in the Mystic Congregational Church where he served as Assistant Treasurer. He also volunteered for Meals on Wheels in Stonington.
He is survived by his mother Kathleen Wilson-Saur of New London and his daughter Hannah Wilson of Mystic. Toby was a loving son, father, and friend and will be greatly missed.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at Mystic Congregational Church on Tuesday at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society or Mystic Congregational Church.
