Darryl D. Hinman, age 44, of Haley Road, Ledyard, passed away early Monday morning at his home.
He was born in Westerly on December 6, 1963 one of five children to Christine (Schramm) Hinman of Ledyard and the late Joe Hinman. He was a lifelong resident of Ledyard where he attended local schools.
He was a member of Bishop Seabury Church in Groton and enjoyed cooking in his spare time. Darryl cherished his children and took pride in their accomplishments.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children, Alissa L. Hinman and Darryl “Buddy” Hinman Jr., both of North Stonington; his brothers, Dewey Hinman (his twin) of Ledyard, Bruce Hinman of IL., and Gary Hinman of WA; and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. He is predeceased by his brother, Michael Hinman.
His family will greet relatives and friends at The Dinoto Funeral home, 17 Pearl Street, Historic downtown Mystic on Monday from 5-6:30pm, immediately followed by a Funeral Service. Private burial will be in the family plot at Elm Grove Cemetery.
