Obituary

Alexander "Alex" Dylan Lyskawa, 13 of Londonderry, NH died Monday May 26, 2008 in Summit Point, WV following injuries sustained from a motorcycle racing accident. Alex was born in Boston, MA on November 6, 1994 a son of Bruce Lyskawa, Sr. and Patricia Cady. Alex was a seventh grade high honors student at Nashua Catholic Regional Junior High School, Nashua, NH. Previously, while attending Londonderry Middle School in sixth grade, Alex was chosen to attend the People to People student ambassador program in Washington, DC. Alex played football and several other sports in Londonderry for six years, and in 2006 won a NH Youth Football Academic Scholarship Award. Alex had been racing motorcycles since the age of four. He began with dirt track racing and moved on to road racing where he progressed quickly through the ranks, winning seven of his last 10 races.
In addition to his parents and brothers, Brent, Christopher “Nigel”, and Kevin Lyskawa, all of Londonderry, he leaves his sister, Meg Lyskawa of San Francisco, CA, his maternal grandfather, George L. Cady, Sr. of Hilton Head, SC, his paternal grandmother, Joan Swink of Manchester, NH, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Calling hours were held on Friday May 30th from 4 – 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Saturday at 10:00am in St. Mark’s Church, corner of South Rd. and Mammoth Rd., Londonderry.
