Norton, Carol A.(Sawyer), Of Marshfield, died peacefully at her home on May 26, 2008, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Nov. 29, l944 in Winthrop. Daughter of the late Midge and Peggy Sawyer. Graduated from Winthrop High School in l962. She married Michael J. Norton, Jr.,retired Lt. Massachusetts State Police on Oct. 2l, l967.Lived in Marshfield for 39 wonderful and fulfilling years. Carol worked over 25
years in the retail clothing industry. She was the beloved and beautiful wife of her husband Michael. She was a dedicated and loving mother to Keith A. Norton and his wife Melissa and to Holly M.E. Kiziuk and her husband Michael all of Marshfield. For the past four years she has devoted her life to her five adoring grandchildren: Nadja Kiziuk, twins Katerina and Brendan Kiziuk, Ava and Gianna Norton, who will always love and miss their “Mimi”. Sister of Diane Dalton and her husband Bob of Portland, Maine and her nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Carol sp ent many of her young years sailing at the Cottage Park Yacht Club inWinthrop and sunning herself on the beach there. She spent her early married years with her husband’s trooper friends and their wonderful wives. She was a caring and amazing mother who truly enjoyed spending her time with her two children and her grandbabies. Her family would like to extend their gratitude to the South Shore Hospital, MA. General Hospital and South Shore Hospice.

followed by a Funeral Mass in St.Ann by The Sea Church at ll a.m.
Visiting hours Wednesday 4 to 8 p.m. Interment in Winslow Cemetery, Marshfield.
