John C. Ciampaglia, 81 of Medford, died Sunday after a long illness in the Life Care Center of Stoneham, Stoneham, MA.
Born in Italy, he has lived in Medford for the past 55 years. John was the son of the late Clotilda (Perella) and Domenic Ciampaglia. He was the Head Cutter, at the former Best Coat Company in Roxbury for 15 years and retired in 1990. John was a Late U. S. Navy veteran serving during World War II from 1945 to 1946. Beloved husband of the late Rose T. (DeMango) Ciampaglia. Devoted father of Charles Ciampaglia of Medford, John R. Ciampaglia of Ashland, Thomas Ciampaglia of Everett, and Theresa Ascolillo of Medford. Loving grandfather of Andrea, John C., Rosa and John D. Loving great grandfather of Dante. Brother of Anna Robinson of Billerica. Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Thursday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
