Lawrence “Larry” W. Darsney 51 of Sagamore Beach lost his very brief battle with cancer on Thursday May 22nd. He was the beloved husband of Debra (Foley) Darsney and son of Gertrude (McGrath) of Danvers and the late Warren Darsney. He leaves behind his step-sons RJ Foley, Branham Foley and Sean Foley all of Sagamore Beach and his step-daughter Marissa Foley of Dennisport and his loving sister Maura Darsney of Danvers. He also leaves his step-children from his previous marriage, Jamie and Jason Lesure of Sagamore Beach. Larry was born in Lynn and raised in Danvers, a 1974 graduate of Danvers High School. He also graduated on the presidents list from Wentworth Institute of Technology, where he earned a Nuclear Engineering Degree. He was a 30 year employee of the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Plant. He had a passion for Harley Davidson motorcycles and was a member of the Cape Cod Harley Club. He was also a member of the NRA, was a black belt in karate and was an avid fitness enthusiast. Larry will be truly missed by his loyal canine companion Chessie. Besides his family, he will be missed by his long term coworkers from the power plant and many other dear friends that were by his side through his illness. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday May 27th at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Rd (Rt 3A), Plymouth (Manomet) from 7 to 9 PM. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, May 28th at St. Peter’s Church in Plymouth at 10 AM. Burial will be held at a later date.
