WORCESTER__Alfred J. Stazinski, Sr., 90, of Worcester died Thursday, May 22 in St. Vincent Hospital, 123 Summer St.
He leaves his beloved wife of 67 years, Jane T. (Kopacz) Stazinski; a son, Alfred J. Stazinski, Jr, and his wife Carol of Westborough; a daughter, Mary Jane Morrissey and her husband, Thomas of Auburn; a brother, Stanley Stazinski of East Douglas; four grandchildren, Lisa Root of Milford; Lynn Beauregard of Auburn; Cara Stazinski and Caitlin Stazinski, both of Westborough and three great-grandchildren, Meg, Grace and Jack. He was predeceased by twin brothers, Peter and Paul Stazinski and a great-grandson Robbie T. Root. He was born in South Boston, a son of Andrew and Mary (Wojciechowicz) Stazinski and later lived in Worcester and Auburn before returning to Worcester.
Mr. Stazinski was a salesman for Worcester Gas Light Co, for many years and later Sears, Roebuck & Co. before retiring. He served in the Massachusetts Army National Guard for 30 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church. Al was cherished by his family.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 27 with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours are private. HENRY - DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., is assisting the family with arrangements.
