Obituary

Loretta M. Blake, 82,of Bradenton FL and formerly of 58 Girard St. Laconia died March 1, 2003 in her residence after a sudden illness. She was the widow of Victor J. Blake, who died March 31, 1986.

Loretta was born in Laconia on July 26, 1920, the daughter of Wilfred and Cecile (Morin) Lecour. She resided in Laconia for most of her life until moving to Florida in 1986 after the death of her husband.

Mrs. Blake was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Laconia for many years and was also a member of the Ladies of Sacred Heart.

Family members include a daughter Joanne Kelley and her husband Robert of Gilford; a son, Alan J. Blake and his wife Kathleen of Gilmanton; three grandchildren, Audrey Spinney of Atlanta GA, Angela Bossey of Belmont and Amy Blake of Gilmanton; a brother, Roland J. Lecour of Bradenton FL.

There are no calling hours. A funeral ceremony was held in the Simoneau & Lambert Funeral Home, 139 Church St. on Friday at 11 AM. Rev. Adrien Longchamps officiated. Committal prayers followed in the Chapel of Sacred Heart Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, 1269 Union Ave., Laconia NH 03246. Timothy C. Molan and David L. Furber were the funeral directors.
