John V. Servideo, 98 years of West Palm, Fl., formerly of Brockton, died May 22, 2008. He was the husband of the late Angelina (Uzzo) Servideo. Born in Italy and raised in the North End of Boston, a son of the late John and Catherine (Gratta) Servideo. He had been a resident of Brockton from 1952 to 1993. Mr. Servideo owned the Temple Café in Brockton, and the Johnny Martin’s Burly Lounge in Scolly Square, Boston. Mr. Servideo enjoyed race horses and had owned thorough bred race horses in Pennsylvania.
He is survived by a son, Robert Servideo and his wife Sherlene of PA, four grandchildren, Wayne Servideo of Lynnfield, Robert Servideo, Jr. of NC, Donna Bryant of NH and Cindy Servideo of E. Boston, two sisters Betty Sgarano and Mary Ranieri both of Boston and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Anthony and Frank Servideo.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Wednesday at 8am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery.
