Obituary

Hanson – R. Edward “Eddie” Dunham 59, died Friday May 23rd after a period of failing health. He was the husband of Diane (Meis) Dunham.

Born in Brockton he was the son of the late Roy E. Jr. and Beatrice P. (Keene) Dunham.

Eddie was a life long resident of Hanson attending Hanson schools and graduating from South Shore VoTech in 1966. He worked for the Highway Department in Hanson for many years and was a call fireman for the Hanson Fire Department. He later drove truck for Tedeschi’s for over 17 years.

He was a Veteran of the United States Army having served from 1968 – 1970.

He was a member of the Handy Man Club and enjoyed NASCAR and spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his children Jon Dunham and his wife Kathy of Iowa, Keene Dunham and his wife Shannon of Hanson, and Christa Oxner and her husband Andy of Plymouth, his brother Ralph Dunham of Arizona and his sister Roseanne Sawyer of Hanson. He is also survived by his grandchildren Haylee Dunham, Tyler Dunham, Emma Oxner, Jake Dunham, Caitlin Oxner, and Marissa Dunham, and his niece Jennifer Sawyer.

His services will be held Wednesday May 28th at 11 AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman. Burial will follow in the Blue Hill Cemetery.
