Obituary

LYNN - Elizabeth P. (Hill) Marland, 88, of Lynn, formerly of Salem, wife of the late Roy C. Marland, died Monday morning, May 19, 2008 in the Phillips Manor Nursing Home, Lynn.

Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Thomas & Susan (Perrot) Hill. She was a resident of Salem until moving to Lynn in 1989 and was a member of the Central Congregational Church, Lynn.

Elizabeth was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse for many years, beginning at Salem Hospital where she trained, to the former Salem Health Hospital, located in the Salem Willows area, and then to Danvers State Hospital. She later performed private duty work in local nursing homes including the Phillips Manor where she was currently residing.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Donald & Lisa Marland of Lynn, one daughter and son-in-law, Lois and Charles Bombara of Ft. Mead, MD, 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She was predeceased by a daughter, Barbara Weaver.

Her funeral service will be held Friday, May 23, 2008 at 11:30 am at the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem. Visiting hours are Thursday, 4 to 8 pm.
