Bodine, Nils R., of Marshfield, formerly of N. Falmouth and Canton, 88 years old, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on May l6, 2008. Son of the late Carl and Rosa Bodine of Goteburg, Sweden. Beloved husband of Barbara (Brown) Bodine of Marshfield. Loving father of Laila Bridges of N. Falmouth, Larraine Redquest of Canton, Lauren Gennelly of Norwell, Denise Murphy of Marshfield, and Richard Bodine of Marshfield. Beloved brother of Herbert Bodine of N.C. and Laila Hogg of Eastham. Also survived by 3 son-in-laws, l0 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews and several exceptional care givers Lisa Callahan and Bob Ward.
Born in Boston, MA., April l6, l920 and educated in Goteburg, Sweden. He returned to the U.S. at age l9 and served his country in the U.S.Coast Guard, WWII. Nils was a Tool & Die Maker for Market Forge Co. in Everett for many years. He had many hobbies and was an avid Boston sports fan.
