Alexander F. “Al” Mercurio passed away in Texas on May 17, 2008 at the age of 79. He was a lifelong resident of Malden and loved to go bowling.
Al was the beloved husband of the late Pauline (Fagone) Mercurio, his wife of 57 years. He was the devoted father of Alan Mercurio and his wife Carol of Texas and the late Steven Mercurio. Al was the dear brother of George, Edgar, Ronald and Arthur Mercurio, Theresa Kloppenburg and Delores Gordon. He was the cherished grandfather of Dawn, Danielle and Dara Mercurio of Texas. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Thursday, May 22nd at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Wednesday, May 21st from 4-8 p.m. Entombment Holy Cross Mausoleum, Malden.
