Marilyn E. (Greene) Berkowitz of Revere and formerly of Melrose died on May 19, 2008 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. She was 72 years old.
Marilyn was the beloved wife of Norman for 52 years. She spent her early years in Chelsea where she attended the Chelsea schools and High School. She was a dedicated transcriptionist and supervisor at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital for 37 years. Marilyn was an extremely devoted mother and grandmother. When she was not attending to her family, she enjoyed mah-jongg, traveling, and her trips to Foxwoods. Marilyn was also a member of Temple B’Nai Israel of Revere.
Marilyn is the loving mother of William Berkowitz of Brockton, Ronna Nesselle and her husband Robert of Randolph, and Faye Holst of Santa Clarita, California and the late Diane Berkowitz. She was the devoted “mana” of Aaron and Samuel Nesselle. Marilyn was the dear sister of Dr. Leonard Greene and his wife Joan of Norwich, Connecticut.
Services will be held at the Torf Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, May 21st at 1:00 PM with interment to follow in Wakefield. Rabbi Howard Kosovske will officiate. Memorial observance at her late residence following the interment until 9:00 PM.
