Angela (Karapatsas) Dukas of Andover and beloved wife of the late James Dukas, died at the Oxford Manor Nursing Center in Haverhill on Sunday, March 18, 2008. She was 90 years old.
She was born in Ansonia, Connecticut, on March 8, 1918, a beloved daughter of the late Stratis and Olga (Kledaras) Karapatsas. Mrs. Dukas was a long time member of Sts. Constantine & Helen Church in Andover and was a waitress at the Lantern Brunch in Andover.
She will be sorely missed by her two loving sons and daughters-in-law; Robert and his wife Nancy A. Dukas of Falmouth and George and his wife Pricilla Dukas of Haverhill, three grandchildren; Maria and her husband Anthony Gudinas of Atkinson, New Hampshire, James and his wife Carla Dukas of Londonderry and Monica and her husband Jack Andrellos of North Reading, six great grandchildren; Alana, Corina and Sophia Gudinas, Sage and Demitrius Andrellos and Christopher Dukas, three brothers; Peter and his wife Efstratiada of Mytelene, Greece, Christos and his wife Cleo of Arlington and George and his wife Betsy of Hyannis, one sister Terpsithea Basillell of Mytelene, Greece and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service was celebrated in Sts. Constantine & Helen Church, 71 Chandler Road, Andover, Thursday, May 22, 2008, at 11 AM. Calling hours were held in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover, Wednesday, May 21, 2008, from 5 to 9 PM. Burial was in West Parish Garden Cemetery, Andover.
