Alice Connell, 88, Clarksville, died Friday, May 16. 2008, at Gateway Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. David Forney officiating. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until the time of the service Sunday at the church. The remains are to be cremated. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born March 5, 1920 in Montgomery County daughter of the late Ned Atkinson and Karlene Rudolph Atkinson. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church Survivors include a son, Chip Connell (Mary Ann), Clarksville; a daughter, Peggy Connell (Dr. Steve Phillips), California; two grandchildren, Mary Karla Posey (Bill), Clarksville; and Brad Connell, Nashville; and two great-grandchildren, Mary Kaylyn Posey and Talley McLain Posey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lucien Campbell Connell, and her brother, Dr. Edward Rudolph Atkinson.
