Lawrence, MA, and Salisbury Beach – Florence E. (Wainwright) Maginnis, passed away on her 92nd birthday at Prescott House Nursing Center of North Andover.
Born in Lawrence, a graduate of Lawrence High School Florence E. Wainwright was the daughter of Oscar and Edith (Baily) Wainwright.
For many years Mrs Maginnis was a payroll clerk at the Wood Mill and worked in the Audit Department at Reichold Chemicals of Ballardvale.
A life long member of Grace Episcopal Church in Lawrence, Florence was also a member of their altar guild.
Mrs. Maginnis was a wonderful ballroom dancer whose other interests in life beside her family included her cat Dusty, and was an avid Red Sox Fan.
A life long Lawrence resident she was the widow in Hugh Maginnis.
Survivors include her niece the Reverend Patricia A. and her husband Donald Ketzler, and their children grand niece Lisa Verrette of Andover, grand nephews Mark of New York, Steven of North Carolina, and Eric Ketzler of Maryland. Her nephew Dr. Gary Wainwright and his children Dana Wainwright, Ryan and wife Cheryl Wainwright, Henry and wife Erika Wainwright 3 grand nephews Mark, David, and Brent Wainwright one niece Anne and husband Richard Bobek, Hugh Maginnis and wife Marjorie.
A funeral service will take place on Saturday afternoon at 1:P.M. in Grace Episcopal Church of Lawrence with burial to follow in Bellevue Cemetery.
Friends may pay their respects on Friday from 6-9 P.M. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc. 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen.
