Manchester-Joseph Leo Corriveau, 85, died May 14, 2008 at his home after a brief illness.
He was born in Manchester on November 16, 1922 the son of Arthur and Louise (Bouffard) Corriveau and had been a lifelong resident of this city.
He attended local schools as well as Hesser College.
He served in the US Army and participated in the Battle of the Bulge and Crossing of the Rhine.
Prior to his retirement he was employed by Pratt & Whitney.
He held membership in the American Legion Sweeney Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8214, Boston Chapter of the Yankee Division Veterans Association, 26th Division.
He was quiet, loving man who loved his family. He especially enjoyed his visits to Canada and was an avid Red Sox fan.
He was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth (Smith) Corriveau on September 24, 1989 and a grandson Larry Joyce in 2006.
Members of his family include one son Joseph L. Corriveau of Ashburn, VA., 3 daughters Barbara Joyce of Laconia, Maryann Rhyne of Caledonia, Mississippi and Janice Wilson of Florida, nine grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Services:A calling hour will be Saturday from 8:30 to 9:30 AM with funeral services at 9:30 AM in the J.N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St..
Burial will follow in Martin’s Ferry Cemetery, Hooksett.
