Obituary

Worcester - Lucian A. Lachance, 93, of 626 Pleasant St. died Friday Dec. 21 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center - Memorial Campus after an illness.

Mr. Lachance leaves his wife of 64 years Lucie Louise (Lussier) Lachance of Worcester; three sons Andre L. Lachance of Hobe Sound, FL, Paul B. Lachance of Holden and Gerard D. Lachance of Paxton; three daughters Suzzane L. Nelson of Bourne, MA, Ruth T. Lemay of Shrewsbury and Marguerite M. Leroux of Paxton, MA; a sister Madeliene Paquin of Bay City, MI; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. Mr. Lachance is predeceased by two brothers Octave Lachance and John Lachance and three sisters Anna Trottier, Bridget Phaneuf and Jeanne Boucher. He was born in St. Casmir, PQ, Canada son of Cleophase and Angeline (Loranger) Lachance.

Mr. Lachance worked for C.K. Smith Co. in Worcester for 37 years as a service manager retiring in 1969. He was also a member of Holy Name of Jesus Church.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday Dec. 26 from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. with a mass at 10 AM in Holy Name of Jesus Church 53 Illinois St.. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
