Obituary

Edouard A. "Ed" Leblanc, age 75, died unexpectedly on Monday, May 12 at the West Roxbury VA Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Lucy (Gould) Leblanc with whom he had celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary on June 30, 2007.
He was born in Lowell on July 7, 1932, the son of the late Louis and Eva (Bernier) Leblanc. Ed resided in Dracut for many years and was a communicant of the former St. Louis de France Parish. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War, having served on the USS Porana - AGC 16.
Prior to his retirement, he was the proprietor of E. A. Construction Company for many year until passing it on to his son, Alfred, 10 years ago. Ed was a model train enthusiast and collector and belonged to several model train clubs. He also enjoyed fishing.
Besides his wife, he is survived by five children, Jeannine Leblanc of Manchester, NH, Alfred Leblanc and his wife Wanda of Tyngsboro, Rachel Marquebreuck and her husband Joseph of Dracut, Robert Leblanc of Nashua, NH, and Michelle Leblanc of Salem, NH; seven grandchildren, Joseph Leblanc, Melinda and Adam Marquebreuck, Michael Leblanc, Paul Brun, Kristal Pelham and Brian Leblanc; also two great grandchildren; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Raymond Leblanc of Hartford, CT, and Antoine and Marie-Louise Leblanc of Peypin, France; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Lorraine Cardinal of Lowell, Marie Lambert of Columbia, CT, and Theresa and Roland Levasseur; also several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call at the M. R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell on Thursday, May 15 from 4 to 8pm. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday morning at 9 o'clock at Ste. Marguerite D'Youville Church, Dracut. Interment in the Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assoc. 20 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701.
