Lois Ruth Richards (Clingman), 88, passed quietly Sunday May 11 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Richard Rice of Plymouth. Lois was dearly loved by her 4 children, Gail E. Richards, MD, MBA, of Seattle, WA; John S. Richards of Attleboro, Peggy Rice, RN, MBA, of Plymouth, and Jane E. Pfeilsticker-Valley MS, of Bradenton, FL. She was blessed with 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Lois is also survived by one of 5 other siblings, Miriam Smith of Colorado Springs, CO. Lois was pre-deceased by her husband, John Hoak Richards in 1975 and never remarried. She lead a joyful and full life living in Pittsburgh, PA; Naples, FL; Madison, CT; Seattle, WA; and Plymouth, MA. In Pittsburgh, she and her husband were founding members of Trinity Tower Methodist Church in Penn Hills, PA. The last 10 years of her life, she enjoyed her membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was a member of the Cape Cod Ward. A funeral service will be held at 12:30 PM on Saturday, May 17 at the Cape Cod Ward meetinghouse of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Cataumet, 1220 County Road. Lois will be interred beside her beloved husband, John, the following Sunday, May 25 at Jefferson Memorial Cemetery in Pittsburgh, PA.
