Obituary

Paul E. “Eddie” Riley, 70 of Franklin died suddenly May 10 in Milford Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Anna Mae (Hill) Riley who died in 1996.
Born in Boston, July 3, 1937, the son of the late Paul and Katherine (Melanophy) Riley, Mr. Riley was raised in Boston and had lived in Franklin for the past 34 years.
Mr. Riley had worked for the Town of Franklin Department of Public Works in the Highway Department for 19 years before retiring.
Mr. Riley served in the Navy during the mid 1950’s. He then stayed in the Naval Reserve for five more years after his enlistment was over.
Mr. Riley’s favorite thing to do was to be with his family.
He is survived by his son, James White of Blackstone, his daughters, Leanna White of Northbridge, Laura Walsh of Bellingham, Lisa White of Franklin, Susan Staves of Franklin, Christine Langdon of South Bend, Indiana and Jessie Riley and her fiancé, James Dean of Wynnwood, Washington. He is also survived by his children, Darlene, Paul and Julie.
He is also survived by his brother, George Riley of Plymouth and was the brother of the late William Riley and Joan Mulkay. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 14 from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St. in Franklin at 8:15 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church in Franklin at 9:00 a.m.
Following cremation burial will be in Union Street Cemetery in Franklin.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the Franklin Senior Citizens Center, 10 Daniel McCahill St., Franklin, MA 02038.
