Obituary

Andrew Stuart Brown, 84, died Tuesday, May 6, 2008, in UMass Memorial Medical Center University Campus. He was the husband of Emma W. (Bergstrom) Brown; son of the late Herbert J. Brown, Sr., and Margaret (Stuart) Brown; brother of Herbert J. Jr., of Louisville, KY; and of the late Margaret Jane Brown and Robert G. Brown; father of Carolyn J. Brown of Worcester, Suzanne C. Hong of Southboro, and David S. Brown of West Newton; grandfather of grandson, Corey, and granddaughters, Rilie, Hannah, Chloe, and Haley; and uncle of several nieces & nephews.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, a member of Salem Covenant Church, Norumbega Fraternity Lodge, A.F. & A.M. in Newton, U.S. Marine Veterans of Worcester, and Nordic Vasa Lodge of Worcester.

Mr. Brown was born in Brookline, attended the public schools, and graduated from Brookline High School. He attended the Bentley School of Accounting in Newton. He was the ultimate sports fan of the Boston Red Sox, the Boston Bruins, and the N.E. Patriots. Mr. Brown was a Sales Agent for the florist trade, representing the Davidson-Uphoff Company, Roseville Floraline, and Nelson McCoy Pottery.

Funeral services under the direction of Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, were private. Burial was in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Memorial donations may be made to Salem Covenant Church, 215 Mountain Street East, Worcester, MA 01606.
