Barbara M. (Spearwater) Marden, 82 of Bellingham died May 9 in Milford Regional Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Albert Marden who died in 2005.
Born in Yuba City, California, October 3, 1925, the daughter of the late Carl and Edith A. (Goodnow) Spearwater, Mrs. Marden was raised and lived in Norwood for many years prior to moving to Bellingham in 1986.
A homemaker, Mrs. Marden is survived by her daughter, Cindy Marden and her fiancé, Gerard Conton of Norfolk. She was the mother of the late Laurel Marden.
She is also survived by her sister, Alma Benson of West Tisbury and was the sister of the late Shirley Harvey.
She is also survived by her beloved cat, Mr. Paws.
Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 13 in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St. in Franklin at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery in South Walpole.
Calling hours will be on Monday from 5-7 p.m.
