Jesup- Mrs. Ruby N. Sprouse, age 79, passed away Friday, May 9, 2008 at Coastal Manor in Ludowici after an extended illness. She was a native of Coffee County living most of her life in Brunswick, residing in Jesup the past seven years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Jesup and a member of the Circle # 3. While living in Brunswick she kept the church nursery at the First United Methodist Church of Brunswick for many years.
Surviving is her husband of 57 years Mr. Tom Sprouse of Jesup; two children: Debra Stevens of Jesup and Tim Sprouse of Brunswick; three grandchildren: Shanna and husband Ken Scott of Odum, Rachel Sprouse of Fisher, Indiana and Haley Sprouse of Atlanta; two great-grandchildren: Lexie and Blake Scott of Odum; one special niece: Phyllis Herndon of Brunswick and two sisters: Reba Merier of Brunswick and Ruth Evitts of Alto.
Memorial services will be held Sunday, May 11, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from the James R. Gordon Memorial Chapel of Howard-Jones-Nobles Funeral Home with Reverend Byron Scott and Reverend Tucker Lewis officiating.
