Evelyn Winn Powers, 85, Clarksville, died Thursday, May 8, 2008, at Gateway Medical Center. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday at Greenwood Cemetery with Dr. Roger Freeman officiating. Visitation will be from 11 am until the hour of the service Saturday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born October 15, 1922 in Clarksville, daughter of the late Thomas Bryan Winn and Janie Reasons Winn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen M. Powers. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Clarksville. Survivors include her son, Dr. Madison Powers of Washington, DC and a sister, Madeline Wright of Clarksville. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
