Donnie Lee Dillard, 60, of Tifton died Friday, May 9, 2008, at Langdale Hospice Center in Valdosta. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 12, 2008, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Salone Green and Rev. N. C. Spradley will officiate with burial to follow in Salem Memorial Gardens. Steve Griffin, Andy Griffin, Alan Griffin, Jason Griffin, Doug Carter and Randy Dominque will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 11, 2008, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. The family will be meeting at his father's home at 70 Dillard Road in Tifton.
Mr. Dillard was born on July 4, 1947 in Tift County and was the son of Ivey Dillard of Tifton and Jewel Weldon Dillard, deceased. He was a farmer and a carpenter and was of the Church of God faith. He was a lifetime resident of Tift County.
In addition to his father, Mr. Dillard is survived by his wife, Martha Allen Dillard of Tifton; two sons, Don Dillard of Tifton and Junior Perry of North Carolina; three brothers, Sirman Dillard of Tift County, Ronnie Dillard of Tift County, and Billy Dillard of Tift County; and three grandchildren, Dallas Dillard, Kelsey Perry and Abbie Perry.
